UNL faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in UNL's Dinner in a Nebraska Home
Dinner in a Nebraska Home provides a unique experience that only a small percentage of our international students have had: to eat dinner in a Nebraska home.
Through this program, volunteer faculty and staff members host groups of 2-3 international students in their home for dinner. This is a great opportunity for international students to have an immersive cultural experience in Lincoln. Likewise, the program is an ideal chance for faculty and staff to connect with international students outside of the classroom.
Participation requires minimal commitment. You will be asked to do the following:
- Attend an meet and greet session.
- Host or attend dinner.
- Complete an online assessment after dinner.
Meet and Greet Session 1:
March 28, 4:30PM
City Campus, Louise Pound Hall, Suite 130
Meet and Greet Session 2:
March 29, 2:30PM
City Campus, Louise Pound Hall, Suite 130
Meet and Greet Session 3:
March 30, 5:00PM
City Campus, Louise Pound Hall, Suite 130
You will only attend one reception, but by indicating you are available on multiple dates, it is easier for the International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) to match you with a host/student.
