The Education Abroad Office is the primary point of contact for all University of Nebraska-Lincoln education abroad programs. EAO staff help students identify and select education abroad options; partner with colleges, departments and faculty leaders during the program development and budgeting processes; manage an online application process (using newly implemented MyWorld software); work to minimize risk and maximize safety; facilitate exchange programs around the world; and promote education abroad and international education opportunities to UNL students.

The ISSO helps international students and scholars maintain their immigration status and comply with U.S. employment regulations; assists University of Nebraska-Lincoln departments and colleges in their efforts to hire and retain international researchers and faculty; and serves as a liaison with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in matters related to international visitors studying and working at UNL. In addition, the University provides many resources for international students & scholars.
