Bush family establishes memorial fund for study abroad
Former Grand Island attorney and Hall County Judge David A. Bush will be memorialized through the David A. Bush Family Award for Study Abroad. The fund will support education abroad experiences for students at his alma mater, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

International Food Bazaar is Nov. 18
International Education Week at UNL continues with the International Food Bazaar, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Nebraska Union. The event showcases cuisines from around the world. Registered student organizations representing a variety of countries and cultures will prepare and sell food that is traditional to their background at booths in the Nebraska Union during lunchtime.

Chris Browne, a dining service associate in Selleck Hall, stirs Andouille sausage into a kettle of Brazilian feijoada. Requested by students, the dish is a mix of black beans and six different meats and is regularly served at UNL's Selleck Hall.

UNL alumna traversing globe as CDC disease detective

A UNL delegation is in Oman exploring ways to expand cooperative efforts with the sultanate. Ancient discoveries by UNL faculty, students make national news

University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty, staff and students appeared in national and international news stories about 80 times in the month of October. Highlights include a groundbreaking fossil find by an undergraduate student; an English professor who was a candidate for one of the most prestigious literary awards in the world; and the discovery of a Medusa sculpture at the Antiochia ad Cragum archaeological site in Turkey.
